About me

If we worked together, I would want you to feel like you're not facing things alone. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. I believe healing happens through connection, trust, and discovering the strengths you already possess. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you better understand yourself, build on your resilience, and move toward the life you want to create. Whether that journey involves processing trauma, navigating transitions, or simply finding your footing during a difficult season, I am honored to walk alongside you every step of the way.

I grew up on a small horse ranch in southwest Colorado and spent much of my time riding horses and showing in the western horse world. While I was in the Air Force my hobbies were lifting, snowboarding, and training Jiujitsu. I started a women’s self-defense class at the base gym and became a master combative instructor for my unit. The most important lessons I learned and then taught with self-defense were boundary setting and learning how to self-regulate emotions (or grounding techniques) during high stress times. I hope to bring some of those experiences to how I show up as a therapist and walk alongside you through your healing journey.

More

Training horses is a passion of mine that has transitioned into learning how to incorporate them into counseling/ therapy.

Drawing and creating art with metal work are some of my favorite grounding activities outside of working with horses.

I believe every person is an expert in their own life. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am honored to walk alongside individuals as they work toward healing, growth, and achieving their personal goals

I am currently learning CBT and have been trained in motivational interviewing and incorporating equine partners in therapy.

I became interested in counseling after I got out of the military and saw firsthand how hard it was to get resources as a veteran in a rural community for mental health. Especially nontraditional approaches like interventions incorporating animals, art, or the outdoors. I decided rather than complain about the problem I would work toward helping create a solution so other veterans can get the support and resources they need.

I hope clients take away from therapy is a space they felt heard, respected, and empowered; as well as tools to help build their own sense of self-worth and self-efficacy.
