About the Practice
Authentic Healing LLC is a trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice serving Colorado through telehealth and select in-person offerings. We integrate psychotherapy with EMDR consultation, polyvagal-informed care, auricular acupuncture training, yoga-informed psychotherapy, sound healing, and expressive modalities such as sand tray, play and art.
We are deeply committed to mentoring clinicians, especially bilingual clinicians in Spanish, to serve rural and underserved Colorado communities.
Internship Overview
We are offering a paid clinical internship for graduate-level or post-graduate clinicians seeking supervised hours in a supportive, mentorship-focused environment.
Interns provide telehealth psychotherapy services while receiving weekly supervision, consultation support, and access to Authentic Healing trainings.
This internship is ideal for clinicians interested in:

A Mentorship Culture
Authentic Healing LLC is built on mentorship, creativity, and community healing. Interns are supported as whole people and encouraged to develop their unique clinical voice, whether that includes EMDR, yoga-informed therapy, art, somatic work, addiction recovery, or culturally rooted healing.
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:
-
Be enrolled in or graduated from an accredited counseling, social work, psychology, or addiction program
-
Have completed a diagnosing/DSM course
OR demonstrate strong abnormal psychology and diagnostic knowledge -
Be eligible to practice under supervision in Colorado
-
Be comfortable providing telehealth therapy
-
Be aligned with trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
-
Interest in EMDR, somatic, attachment-based, or polyvagal work
-
Interest in integrative or holistic healing approaches
Schedule Expectations

Minimum 5 client sessions per week

Flexible scheduling

Evening or weekend availability helpful

Independent contractor position (1099)

Must use own equipment
Compensation
Interns are paid:
-
40% of insurance reimbursement collected for sessions provided
-
You will be paneled with Colorado Medicaid ā

Option to see self-pay clients (percentage negotiable depending on rate)
Example: If a session reimburses $100 → intern receives $40.
Payments are issued after insurance reimbursement is received.

Responsibilities
Interns will:
Clinical Care
-
Provide trauma-informed telehealth psychotherapy sessions to Colorado clients
-
Maintain appropriate caseload based on experience and supervision plan
-
Use culturally responsive, strengths-based, and ethically grounded care
-
Consult with supervisor when risk, diagnostic, or treatment concerns arise
Documentation & Compliance
-
Complete all session notes in Simple Practice within 24 hours of the appointment
-
Submit treatment plans, updates, and discharge summaries on required timelines
-
Maintain accurate diagnoses and billing codes under supervision
-
Follow HIPAA, Colorado licensure, and insurance documentation standards
-
Track clinical hours for licensure and supervision records
Supervision & Professional Development
-
Attend weekly individual supervision and come prepared with case questions
-
Participate in group consultation when available
-
Implement supervisor feedback in treatment planning and documentation
-
Engage in ongoing learning through Authentic Healing LLC trainings
-
Maintain openness to trauma-informed, polyvagal-informed, and integrative approaches
Caseload Development & Marketing
-
Actively participate in building and maintaining your caseload
(e.g., directory profiles, community outreach, social media posts, networking) -
Respond to referrals promptly and professionally
-
Maintain an updated availability calendar
-
Collaborate with Authentic Healing LLC on outreach to rural and bilingual communities
(Will provide guidance and templates for marketing—this is part of learning private-practice skills.)
Communication & Team Systems
-
Communicate through Authentic Healing LLC systems (email, SimplePractice messaging, etc.)
-
Respond to supervisor or admin messages within 24–48 hours
-
Maintain professional boundaries with clients and team members
-
Notify supervisor promptly of cancellations, safety concerns, or ethical issues
Ethics & Professional Conduct
-
Follow NASW/ACA/APA ethical standards and Authentic Healing LLC policies
-
Maintain appropriate licensure or intern status documentation
-
Use secure telehealth practices and maintain confidentiality
-
Avoid dual relationships and consult supervisor when concerns arise
Scheduling Expectations

Maintain minimum session commitment (ex: 5 sessions/week)
-
Provide at least 24-hour notice for cancellations when possible
-
Track attendance and follow no-show policies
