Public Speaking and Trainings 

I am member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and has been providing interactive trainings in MI for over a decade. This training can be a 4 hour, 8 hour, 2-3 day training tailored to your participants needs.  Meet with me prior to assess your agencies need and level of knowledge to provide the correct level of MI Training

EMDR trainings and consultations. I bring a somatic and attachment based lens to EMDR work, also including Animals and weaving in other non-traditional healing methods. 

I am passionate about the human-animal-environment bond.  I offer discussion on ethical considerations and practical policies and procedures.  I also go over several intervention ideas with DBT, ACT, MI, EMDR, and grief/loss. 

As someone who has burned out three times in her career, it's very important to spread education, awareness about what secondary trauma, burnout, compassion fatigue and organizational trauma are. My workshops review the above concepts and offer practical changes to support organizational staff who are faced with caring and trauma that might experience burnout. 

As a childhood survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault I continue my journey as voice for those still in these situations. I worked for 10 years as an advocate and therapist in a Domestic Violence Survivors non-profit community agency.  I am able to offer in-depth training around dynamics of violence, power and control/equality wheel,  affects on children,  Motivational Interviewing for advocates working with survivors, and advocate self care.

I enjoy teaching about how trauma affects the brain and body from a trauma informed, neuroscience and polyvagal informed lens.  I offer trainings on addiction and what it looks like. I teach the Assessment and Substance Use Interventions class at University of Denver because I am so passionate about these topics.  I can tailor any type of training around the topics to the needs of the participants. 

I have found that a HUGE part of my healing journey had to include repairing my relationship to my physical body, and I was able to do this through dance and yoga. After some years of intensive trauma therapy I became a Zumba instructor and fell in love with movement and my body.  I am a Registered Yoga Instructor 200hr, Zumba Instructor, Tai Chi instructor, and MixxedFit Dance Fitness instructor and appreciate the neuroscience behind movement and trauma.  Workshops I offer will teach easy practical movements/yoga/dance/music that may be integrated into other healing practices and psychotherapy. 

I have also found several innovative non-tradictional healing practices that complement a persons healing journey. I offer workshops teaching several of these methods including EFT Tapping, How to use Alpha Stim, Aromatherapy, Ho Oponopono, Chakra breathing, Heartmath, and  TAT (Thematic appreception Test)
