Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel or reschedule their free consultation session. No-Show Policy A "no-show" occurs if a client does not attend the session and does not notify Darlene in advance. Multiple no-shows (e.g., 2 or more) may result in ineligibility for future free consultations. Late Cancellations Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be considered late cancellations. We understand that emergencies happen; please contact us as soon as possible if this is the case. Technical Difficulties If the session is missed due to technical issues on the client’s side, it will be considered a no-show. If technical issues arise on our side, we will make every effort to reschedule the session promptly. How to Cancel or Reschedule- Please cancel or reschedule by contacting Darlene via email, phone, or booking system at least 24 hours in advance. By booking a free consultation, you agree to these terms. This policy helps us respect everyone’s time. Record-Keeping A record of your consultation sessions will be kept. Additionally, this record will consist of documentation of phone calls and other communications with you, and any other written materials, such as intake paperwork. The shorthand, informal notes taken during sessions or conversations become a part of your record. You are entitled to inspect or receive a copy of your record at any time. Professional Boundaries All mental health professionals in Colorado are legally required to tell their clients that it is never appropriate for a mental health professional to be sexually intimate with a client, and any professional who does so should be reported to the Board that licenses, registers, or certifies the licensee, registrant or certificate holder. Dual Roles or Conflicts of Interest In being a connected leader within the community, it is possible that your topic for consultation could illuminate a dual role or conflict of interest for me as your consultant. Should this occur, I will immediately identify the dual role, concern, or conflict of interest to you for troubleshooting next steps, including but not limited to referring you to another professional consultant to staff this particular topic. Confidentiality There are exceptions to your right to confidentiality, as listed in Colorado statutes (C.R.S 12-43-218).
