About the event
Animal Assisted Activities in Psychotherapy
Ethical, Trauma-Informed, and Embodied Approaches
With Darlene Brace, LCSW, LAC, ACS, ADS, RYT-500
Animals have the capacity to regulate nervous systems, build attachment safety, increase engagement, and support meaningful therapeutic change. When integrated ethically and intentionally, Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) can deepen rapport, enhance treatment outcomes, and strengthen the therapeutic alliance.
This experiential training is designed for mental health professionals who want to integrate animal-assisted approaches into psychotherapy in ways that are ethical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and embodied.
